Andrew Emilrajan has worked within the realm of Mobile App Development for over 8 years. He is currently in the role of Software Engineering Manager, Android and iOS Development at Telus. Previously, Andrew gained extensive experience driving the development of the CIBC and Simplii mobile banking apps, which won a number of awards presented by renowned organizations such as Forrester and J.D. Power Canada. Overall, he is a leader who is continually staying current with respect to most of the latest developments within technology.

The blended learning format attracted me to the BLPT MBA Program at DeGroote since I was able to continue progressing within my career, while also pursuing higher education during the evenings and weekends.

How has this program impacted your career?
The BLPT MBA Program at DeGroote has enabled me to accelerate my career growth from an individual contributor to a people leader in a relatively short period of time. When I was admitted into the program, I was a Lead Android Developer and since then I have progressed through Consultant and Senior Manager roles with a continually expanding portfolio of responsibilities.
What advice do you have for someone looking to pursue their MBA while continuing to work full-time?
My advice for someone looking to pursue their MBA while continuing to work full-time would be to pace themselves so that they do not burn out and to also ensure they have a support system in place to make it possible.
