What attracted you to the Blended Learning Part-Time MBA Program at DeGroote?

When I was exploring the various MBA options I debated between full time, part time, and online programs. Full time option was not really an option for me, so I leaned towards part time or online. However, I did not want to be fully online since spend majority of my workday online and part of the learning and experience is working with classmates in person. To me, DeGroote’s BLPT program offered the best of both worlds, a mix of online and in person learning.

What has been the highlight of your DeGroote experience?

The highlight that comes to mind has to be working with a diverse group of classmates. It was interesting to see everyone’s viewpoints on various topics, theories or approaches. What advice do you have for someone looking to pursue their MBA while continuing to work full-time?

When doing and MBA and working full-time, it does not leave a lot of room for extra circulars. Prior to starting my MBA, I was highly involved in industry groups, foundation boards, etc. I quickly realized I just do not have enough time to fully give each extra circular the time it deserved. I had to scale back my involvements and prioritize my time accordingly. My advice is take an inventory of your commitments and determine if you are able to continue with it or do you need to scale back.
